Yueyuan Courtyard Water Landscape

In the Yueyuan Courtyard, water is the leading design element that links two gardens (creek garden & lake garden), weaves open spaces and holds the adjacent buildings together. The design was inspired by a concept of “erosion” that allows a creek water feature to flow and carve the hardscape granite stone into artful patterns and forms. At the end of the creek, water flows into another reflecting pool that is the main feature in the lake garden.

This weaved courtyard water feature, by Z+T Studio,  celebrates the natural process of how rivers transform land into valleys and erode the surface of the earth.
